Catherine Petit is a psychologist based in Gatineau (the Outaouais). She provides psychotherapyservices for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She dispenses intercultural psychology services for immigrants, expatriates, diplomats, military personnel and intercultural couples.
Catherine Petit is a Certified EMDR Therapist, with special experience in exposure to trauma during foreign postings (diplomatic, military, development aid, etc.). In treating trauma, she pays particular attention to the collective unconscious and attachment. She also treats intergenerational trauma.
Catherine Petit is an author. Her latest book, “Les couples interculturels” [intercultural couples], was published by Éditions Québec Livres in November 2014. She makes occasional mediaappearances in feature articles or news commentary.
